| The Nutmeg Country Inn is located in the heart of Mount Snow Valley in the Green Mountains of southern Vermont. It sits along side the historic Molly Stark Trail and offers a picturesque example of an Early American Farmhouse with a Barn and Carriage House. Built in 1777, the Inn has retained many of its original architectural details including exposed beams, original tin ceilings, old doors, dormer ceilings and wood floors. As guests enter the Inn, delightful aromas greet them, while their eyes are drawn to the beautiful interiors. Antique furnishings mixed with luscious fabrics create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Original period artwork, mixed with botanical prints, adds a romantic feel to all the rooms. The common room invites guests to relax and enjoy the crackling fire. Wake up to the delicious smells of breakfast where guests can order from a menu and in the afternoon, share tea and cookies with others or enjoy a quiet spot in one of the comfortable chairs and sofas. Be prepared to have fun and play the many games, including Billiards and darts, the inn offers. The inn has 2.2 acres of lush gardens, green meadows, and tree lined trails for guests' enjoyment. Relax in one of the Adirondack chairs while enjoying the song of birds and the sound of the lazy brook. The fall colors are spectacular, and when the snow starts to drift from the sky, the grounds turn into a winter wonderland. Today, the inn has fourteen luxurious rooms and suites, all with wood burning fireplaces, televisions, central air conditioning, telephones, private baths, and some with Whirlpool tubs. Each room is individually decorated and beautifully appointed to provide a wonderfully romantic and relaxing retreat. |
