Built in 1896, the Spencer Silver Mansion offers the perfect lodging while visiting historic Havre de Grace and the upper Chesapeake Bay region. Guests will find themselves surrounded by Victorian elegance, yet in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The mansion has been restored to reflect late Victorian styles. Among the interesting features of the mansion are the intricate oak woodwork, the five impressive fireplaces mantles, and the 10 foot oak parlor doors. The graceful Newel post light and beautiful stained glass windows beckons guests to the upstairs rooms. In the morning, guests will eat a scrumptious breakfast, served at 10:30 AM, so guests can stay out late and sleep in on their vacation. After the meal, guests can relax in the parlors. The parlors, with their fancy ornamentation and fireplaces welcome guests to unwind and ponder the days of a bygone era. Guests will find true pleasure and comfort at the Spencer Silver Mansion.
Guests will fall in love with these Victorian rooms full of grace and charm. Each room comes with air conditioning, alarm clock radio, and smoke detectors. Guests can come home after a long day, turn on the TV, sip a cup of hot coffee from the coffeemaker, and nibble on some sweets that were left from the turn down service. In some rooms, guests can put on a fluffy bathrobe, turn on some music from the CD player, and cuddle up next to the fireplace.
